Spring Fever!!

I have officially caught a bad case of spring fever. Today was a perfect spring day. The sun was shining, birds were singing. I decided to go for a drive and enjoy the day. Bad idea. I ended up with a speeding ticket. Now, I am the first one to admit that I have a bit of a lead foot. I know that. What upsets me is that today I honestly did not realize I was speeding. I was on an unfamiliar road, driving along with the windows down and the radio on ("Baby Got Back" was playing) enjoying the beautiful views that Central New York is famous for when suddenly - lights behind me. I pull over thinking I'm letting him by to go after some poor sucker when he pulls over too and I realize that I AM the poor sucker. *sigh* He clocked me at 50mph in a 30mph zone. Yikes. Can't wait to see what the fine for this will be.

  1. Ouch! Not a fun way to start spring. I once got a ticket for going 60 in a 40.....on my way to a wedding. Maybe you can plea it down a bit.
Thank god for cruise control or I'd have received a lot of speeding tickets!
    Can you believe this weather?

  4. I was in Ithaca in the Cayuga Heights / Cornell area. Oh well, it was bound to happen eventually. :)

  5. That baby quilt is adorable! I have the opposite problem. The road to the grocery store is 45 mph. And if you go slower than 50, they tail-gate you.

  6. Why am I not surprised?!!? lol It was only a matter of time my lead-footed friend! ;o) Does stink when you don't realize you are speeding. Are you going to go and try to get it reduced?

  7. Probably not. I'll just mail it in and suffer the consequences. :)

  8. That stinks. I have a bit of a lead foot myself.;) Thanks for stopping by. Yes, Ruby is a Carin Terrior. She is a honey. (most of the time) She is only 7 1/2 months so that is to be expected. Have a great day.
